THE 13 SEER STANDARD

Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps manufactured in the U.S. after January 23, 2006 will have to meet the 13 SEER minimum efficiency requirement as set forth by the US Department of Energy.  It is important for consumers to understand that is not required to replace or upgrade existing equipment now.  However, after January 23, 2006 complete 10 & 12 SEER units will become more obsolete possibly making replace parts more difficult to obtain.

Now is the time to work with us and learn about the options available to best fit your home comfort needs.

THE HIGHER THE SEER RATING, THE MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT THE CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONER IS.

  • The SEER rating is the total cooling output provided by the unit during its normal annual usage period, divided by its total energy consumption during the same period.
  • SEER ratings for air conditioners are similar to miles-per-gallon rations for vehicles.
  • The increase to 13 SEER is estimated to reduce air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to taking more than 3 million vehicles off the road by 2020.

13+ SEER SYSTEMS COST MORE TO PURCHASE BUT WILL COST LESS TO OPERATE.

  • 13+ SEER systems feature advanced technologies to enhance efficiency, comfort and reliability, such as a scroll compressor and onboard diagnostics.
  • Matching components is more important.  For best operating performance and reliability in the 13+ SEER, the indoor evaporator coil needs to be matched to work with the outdoor condenser coil.
  • The increase to 13 SEER, a 30% hike from the former standard of 10 SEER, will reduce peak demand for electric power saving consumers approximately $5 billion over the 2006-2030 period.
Radiant Heating and Cooling
REHAU’s radiant floor heating system works by circulating warm water through a network of cross-linked polyethylene (PEXa) pipes placed in the floor. The surface area of the floor gently radiates heat evenly and consistently throughout the room. A quiet, clean and highly economical heating application, radiant floor heating can be installed in existing or new homes with a variety of heat sources and floor coverings.

Snow & Ice Melting
Our snow and ice melting systems operate by circulating warm fluid through PEX pipes placed underneath various outdoor surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, patios and carports, providing a safe, clean and reliable way to keep outdoor areas clear of snow and ice.

Why Is WaterFurnace the Smarter Choice?

Simply put, a WaterFurnace geothermal heating and cooling system is:
        1. an investment in affordable comfort and,
        2. an investment in the preservation of our environment
            for generations to come.

The secret of a WaterFurnace system's clean, efficient operation is the earth's ability to store heat. In fact, 47 percent of the sun's energy that reaches our planet is absorbed into the earth. That's 500 times more energy than all of humanity would need in a year! And it's an unlimited source of energy.

Installing a WaterFurnace system in a typical home is the environmental equivalent of planting 750 trees—or taking two cars off the road. That's because WaterFurnace
